• The Practical Component of the Fellowship in Fetal Medicine at WINGS IVF is a full time structured training program designed to cover the diagnosis and management of the whole spectrum of fetal disorders and complications.
• Candidates will be expected to acquire a high standard of competence in the clinical management of high-risk pregnancies; ultrasound diagnosis and management of fetal anatomical and functional abnormalities ; Doppler assessment of the uterine and fetal circulations; amniocentesis, chorion villus sampling and cordocentesis.
• Fellowship in Fetal Medicine is a clinical and research oriented fellowship designed to provide advanced education and training in the care of the pregnant patient and her foetus, prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical and didactic teaching skills and developing research skills. Our large patient volumes, academic environment, faculty educators, case acuity, diversity and volume of complicated pregnancies, provide a strong foundation for our comprehensive fellowship training program in maternal-fetal medicine.
• Focus is usually on understanding sonography machine, its features, accurate handling and use of probes, flawless diagnosis, dating scans, anomaly scans and invasive feto-maternal procedures using ultra sound assistance.
